Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to browse and buy from 7th & Bay.
What we’ve done
This site was built with accessibility in mind, using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as our target. In practice that means:
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible outline showing where you are.
- Buttons, links and form fields are labelled for screen readers, and photographs have text descriptions.
- Text and background colors are chosen for contrast, and nothing relies on color alone to carry meaning.
- Pages reflow for phones and for browser zoom, without sideways scrolling.
- Animation is switched off if your device is set to reduce motion.
Where we may fall short
The site hasn’t had an independent accessibility audit yet. We test as we build, but we may have missed things, and some parts are provided by other companies:
- Checkout and payment pages are run by Stripe, and pay-later options by their providers.
- Links to social networks and package tracking take you to sites we don’t control.
- Product mockup images are generated automatically and their descriptions are brief.
