We make chart shirts, signal flags and hometown hoodies in St. Mary’s County, Maryland.
Bay Country is the water and the towns around it.
For us that means the creeks of St. Mary’s County, the Eastern Shore across the Bay, and the Delaware shore.
Why “7th & Bay”
A name with a
place in it.
I grew up in Delaware, a few minutes from the water in any direction. Marsh, lake, pond, bay or ocean, there was always something close.
In 2014 I moved to St. Mary’s County. The water here comes in creeks and coves instead of open beach, but having it close by feels the same.
The name comes from a few places. St. Mary’s County has a 7th District. The house I grew up in was number 43, which adds up to seven. Mostly, I liked how it sounded next to the Bay.
I started 7th & Bay because I wanted more say in what I wear. Most of what I found didn’t have much to do with where I live. I wanted clothes built around the places I actually spend my time: the creeks, the marshes, the Bay and the small towns along it.
Everything we make is designed here, one piece at a time. If it doesn’t look like it belongs on a dock in St. Mary’s or out on the Eastern Shore, we don’t make it.
Every chart is a real stretch of water and every hoodie is a real town.
02
Bright on purpose
We use Blaze orange and signal lime because you can spot them across a creek.
03
Both shores
The Western Shore, the Eastern Shore and Delaware. Bay Country is bigger than one county.
