Chart No. 8 is the mouth of the Patuxent, with Solomons tucked inside the river, Calvert County to the north and St. Mary’s County across the water. Charter boats, sailboats and workboats all funnel through here on their way out to the Bay. Drawn in the style of an old engraved survey chart, with depth soundings in feet, a compass rose and the creeks and points marked by name.
